Alexandra Gaul studierte Bildende Kunst in Leipzig und Düsseldorf und hat ihr Atelier mit Porzellanmanufaktur in Berlin. Sie arbeitet in unterschiedlichen Medien wie Keramik, Zeichnung, Text, Musik und Fotografie. In ihren künstlerischen Konzepten spielen Fundstücke eine zentrale Rolle.
